Ainsley Bruton
is a queer/trans artist living and working in Philadelphia. Their work engages with themes of embodiment, transformation, self-authorship, and materiality. Ainsley was born and raised in Mississippi and they currently reside in South Philadelphia.
Ainsley’s painting practice is based out of their home studio, where they live with their partner and puppy. Ainsley is a member of the arts committee at the William Way LGBT Community Center, and they are also a grad student at Moore College of Art & Design, where they are pursuing their teaching certification in art education.
